A collection of conceptual visions and entrancing visual symphonies, narratives, and concepts that reveal the unbound spirit of Yohannes’ creative exploration.

Cerus: The Ecology of Endurance

Cerus: is a narrative fashion collection, live runway show, original score, and short film set in a post-collapse, desert-coded world. Developed over three years, it follows a single figure through six chapters of survival, each with its own garments, color, music, and manifesto. I conceived and directed the project: the story, the looks, the identity system, and the staging.

The collection is built from new, retailored, and reclaimed garments, with raw canvas and surplus fabric distressed through burning, waxing, tea-staining, and soil. I constructed much of it by hand, worked with a seamstress, and collaborated with a composer on the score.
